Shooting Checklist...
- Wide Shots — help establish where the event is happening. They answer the question "Where are we?"
- Medium Shots — help show the action in the event. They show people doing something. Each medium shot helps answer the question "Who is doing this event?"
- Close Shots — are on people and show emotion, facial expressions, excitement, anticipation, concern, and joy. Eyes are important; the mouth area is important. Close shots help give the audience a deep connection to the subjects.
- Cut-away Shots — are also close up shots Cut-away shots do not show faces, but show details of the event happening. They give more information about what is going on. They often show hands doing something. They help answer the question "What is this person doing here?" Other cut-away shots should be like photographs, snap shots, details of the place we are in (the ground, the texture of bricks, a bird on a tree, a sign on a wall). Don't be afraid to get a few different cut-away shots. You usually can't have too many.

____ 10 second Cut Away Shot #3 - Remember to keep the camera still while shooting. Frame your shots before you push the record button. No zooming while recording a shot.
