Oumu Foundation
Contest...

The Oumu Foundation is sponsoring a contest for the best student video of the 2003-2004 school year. First prize will be a new iPod mini. There will be ten second prizes of $10 iTunes Gift Certificates.
Rules
To enter the contest you must meet these requirements:
- Be a student at JLS Middle School (Palo Alto), Mission San Jose High School (Fremont), Beijing No. 15 Middle School (Beijing), Ren Da Fu Zhong (Beijing), Beijing No. 171 Middle School (Beijing), or Lu He High School (Beijing) participating in the Oumu video exchange project during the 2003-04 school year.
- Be a registered user at Oumu.org.cn. If you have not already registered at Oumu.org.cn, you can do so here.
- Create a movie that conforms to the Final Editing Checklist.
- Upload the movie to the Oumu.org.cn website by following the instructions here. When you upload the movie, you must complete the entire form including a title, the producer, and a clear description of the movie. After the movie has been uploaded, you can always edit the title, producer and description here.
- After uploading the movie, you must send an email to contest@oumu.org with your name, your school, and the movie title.
- Movies must be uploaded between January 1, 2004 and May 22, 2004.
- Total running time for the movie must be less than three minutes.
- Movies created for the Oumu Dajiang 2003 contest in Beijing are not eligible.
- Movies can be created in teams, but only one student will be eligible for a prize per uploaded movie. Prizes will be awarded to the student whose account is used to upload the movie onto Oumu.org.cn.
- Prizes will be awarded based on the quality of the movie as determined by an independent judging panel. All decisions will be final.
- First prize will be awarded to the movie that best conveys a unique and interesting aspect of life in the student's own country. Possible topics include family, school, after school activities, shopping, crafts, food, etc.
- These rules are subject to clarification and/or modification without notice.
The winners of the contest will be announced on June 1, 2004. Good luck!
